She has an interest in patients at risk for breast cancer and as a PI is submitting an NIH R25 cancer education grant that will randomize primary care physicians to receive two types of training that involves identifying and treating patients at risk for breast cancer. This research builds on pilot data that she collected at Loyola from a study funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health, Penny Severns Research Fund.
